Traditional Santa Costume

So what makes the perfect Santa costume? Well, you have to start with a red suit, of course. Here you have many options. If you are looking for a cheap Santa suit (and by cheap, we mean inexpensive but still the real thing!), a good option is a polyester Santa suit. Once you have the red suit, make sure you add a Santa hat, belt with buckle, black boots, white fur boot tops to match the cuffs on your suit, gloves, glasses, eyebrows, and a Santa wig and beard set. You may already have some of these costume accessories, but you can purchase a complete Santa suit for less than you would pay for each of the pieces individually. If you need a little extra room, consider a plus size Santa costume like the one pictured below.

 
Now, if you are planning to play Santa professionally, you may want to consider a majestic Santa suit made with dark burgundy luxurious velvet fabric and lined in satin. This is the absolute ultimate in Santa costumes!
But nobody want to sit on the lap of a skinny Santa, so if your belly isn’t up to the task, just add a fake Santa belly underneath your red coat. You’ll be doing your little visitors a favor to look like the “real thing”!
